As tipped earlier in the week, Arcade Fire are confirmed for MCD’s ‘Big Top’ gigs in the Phoenix Park. They play October 24th with tickets on sale August 10th @ €49.20 including booking fee (one euro of every ticket sold being donated to Partners in Health). Support comes from Clinic and I’m sure more acts will be added closer to the date. As with every Irish Arcade Fire date expect tickets to sell out in minutes. Tickets are limited to four per person. You have been warned!
In other MCD news, St. Vincent is confirmed to support The National when they play the Olympia November 1st. Tickets €21.00 are on sale now. Having played guitar with the Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Steven’s touring band, St. Vincent is the solo project of 24yr old Annie Clark. Having won me over a few months back with blog favourite Paris Is Burning(mp3), her debut album ‘Marry Me’ is an absolute gem filled with a unique collection of diverse songs. Keep November 1st free as this is sure to be a great night of music.
