Ah Jeez…

I can’t believe I haven’t updated in over a week! Lots goin on I guess. But regular transmission shall resume from tonight. Lots of posts on the way, included a look at the Bud Rising line up. If you thought October was good, November shows signs of topping it. Of course there will be the Super Massive November Gig Guide to gently take your hand and lead you through some of the months highlight gigs. The latest podcast is also up. Just a little Winter Mix I slapped together cos I still don’t have a mic for the Mac. Next podcast will have a nice relaxed by the fire vibe to and will probably also be minus me talking shite. Anywho heres the latest tracklisting…

The Countdown begins…

So as a build up to the ever exciting HWCH festival, I’m going to be doing a series of posts highlighting bands I reckon are definatly worth checkin’ out. It is a fantastic festival with so much to offer over the three days but these are just bands I have a soft spot for. The above post should get the ball rolling…

The latest podcast will also have the HWCH theme. That’ll be uploaded tomorrow. Busy weekend…ha!

Keep It Fresh Ep. 5

Post Electric Picnic

dscf7177.JPG

Mmmmm….post Electric Picnic, enjoyable and frustrating at the same time. So to help the festival come down I put together a Electric Picnic highlights podcast. It was a spiffing weekend with so many good acts and a wealth of good times with friends. If you were there then I hope you had an excellent time…I did. Definatly the festival of the year.

Listen to the podcast here.

Quotes of the weekend:

“PJ Harvey is a woman!”

“Where are these shadows coming from?”

“I hate to disturb you but I need my wood chips back”

“Start the fans!”

“DADDY!”

“Get down again!”

“Stop touching me guys”

“So she turns around to find this bitch on a horse”

“Oh yeah! I found a Mars bar.”

“Look, some pikeys piked the fuel cap.”

Side note:

Artic Monkeys recieved this years Mercury Prize…are we at all surprised. Well deserved though.

I don’t believe it!

I got me an Electric Picnic ticket. So no podcast this weekend but there will be one up on Tuesday at the latest. It’ll probably have a ‘best of EL’ theme. If your headin down have a great weekend! Cya all on the flip side…New Order baby!

I *heart* Scotland

For a number of reasons:

1)It provided me with a great weekend away.

2)It has some of the hottest women on the planet with the sexiest accent to boot.

3)It has one of the most amazing citys on the planet (Edinburgh)

4)It gave us The Fratellis who are currently releasing three 8″ singles as a build up to their debut album Costello Music which has a release date of Sept. 11th. With a healthy tracklisting I have high hopes for this album. Become a member on their webpage to get plenty of free tracks. If you didn’t catch them at Oxegen they play 1st November @ The Village.
